A meeting was held in the House of Football regarding the restoration of the championship of Ukraine
A working meeting was held in Kyiv at the House of Football with the participation of the UAF leadership, representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, the Ukrainian Premier League and the Professional Football League. The main topic of the meeting is the safety of preparation and holding of football competitions in Ukraine.

As the President of the Ukrainian Association of Football, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, Andrii Pavelko, told during the meeting, it is planned that the competition will be resumed before the National Flag Day and the Independence Day under the conditions of strict observance of all security measures and under the full control of the military, law enforcement officers, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and local authorities.

"Holding football competitions during war is not only about sports. It is about the demonstration of our people's fearlessness, indomitable spirit and desire for an inevitable victory in the war for independence against the Russian occupiers. This is a unique initiative in world history — football against war in conditions of war, football for peace! I am sure that football will give additional energy and strengthen public faith in the final success of the Armed Forces on all fronts and the complete liberation of Ukraine. The restoration of football will be one of the elements of this victory", - Andrii Pavelko noted.

The participants of the meeting discussed various security aspects of the restoration of the championship of Ukraine, heard information about the requirements for the regions and stadiums where matches are planned, and agreed to coordinate efforts within the preparation of a document that will regulate the holding of matches. In the future, this document may be useful for regulating competitions in other sports.
