The national women's team of Ukraine defeated the team of Estonia in an away friendly match.

The match between Estonia and Ukraine was held with the support of the Estonian Football Association in Tallinn at the local stadium "Sportland Arena". It was the first match between the blue and yellow in more than six months, and it marked the start of preparations for the official games of the League of Nations.

Today's confrontation between the national teams of Estonia and Ukraine became the third in the history of these teams. In 2012, they met during the European Championship selection — the Ukrainians won both times (5:0 and 4:1).

In the first half, the blue-yellow team controlled the ball and acted much sharper than their opponents. In the 15th minute, Ovdiychuk could have opened the scoring after Kozlova served, but missed. Ukrainian women often tried to throw the ball behind their opponents, actively looked for options through the standards.

After the break, the picture of the game almost did not change. The Ukrainian women continued to create moments: a dangerous shot by Giryn after Romanenko's cross was blocked by the opponents, Kozlova made a high pass from Korsun's pass, moved well to the center and forced the goalkeeper Ovdiychuk to react with her shot.

In the 64th minute, the Estonians unexpectedly launched a successful counterattack — Merisalu broke through the left flank, entered the penalty area and hit the crossbar. After that, the home team had no more chances, while the blue-yellow team did not use their opportunities to double their advantage due to a lack of implementation. In the end, the wards of Luis Cortes prevailed - 1:0.
