Championship of Ukraine U-19: after six rounds, a quartet of leaders was formed

In the Ukrainian U-19 Championship of the 2023/2024 season, after six rounds, only one match did not take place - between the teams "Vorskla" and "Dnipro-1", so the standings look quite complete.

At the top, we see the same quartet as in last season's final table, led by current champion — "Move". With the only difference that "Alexandria" is second, and "Dynamo" is fourth, while at the end of the 2022/2023 season it was the other way around.

Judging by the indicators of scored and missed goals, these four teams will fight for the championship title in the current season. Because only they score an average of 2 to 3,5 goals per match at the start, and concede no more than one.

It is also worth paying attention to the debutant of the Ukrainian U-19 championship - "Polyssia". Zhytomyr under the leadership of experienced coach Serhiy Shishchenko took two points from "Rukh" (1:1) and put "Alexandria" on the shoulders (2:0). But they still lack a game, as the team in this composition gathered only before the season.

Oleksiy Belyk's Shakhtar team (coach Viktor Bytsyura) beat Oleksii Belyk (1:0), while Ihor Kostyuk's Dynamo drew twice in the last two rounds with Veres (1:1) and Zorya (2). :2), which almost completely updated the team over the summer: pupils of the Dynamo academy born in 2006 returned to their native club, so the Lugansk players conducted a very large-scale selection.

After the resumption of the championship of Ukraine U-19 (currently there is a pause in national team matches), we are waiting for the meetings of the leaders: "Rukh" - "Shakhtar" (8th round, September 22) and "Dynamo" - "Olexandria" (9th round , the base date is September 29). Teams will lose points and one of the nearest chasers can take advantage of this.

Last season's champion of Ukraine from Lviv will again play in the Champions League in the Champions League - under the cup system. At the first stage opponent "Ruhu" - the debutant of the Ukrainian Football League, the Bosnian "Sarajevo" (matches - October 4 and 25). In the second stage, the winner of our pair will play against the best in the duel "Famalikao" (Portugal) - "Midtjullann" (Denmark). The matches will take place on November 8 and 29, and after that the combined play-off stage will begin - with the teams that played in the group tournament.

Miners received the opponents are the youth teams of those clubs whose main squads will be played by Shakhtar's first team in the Champions League. These are the Portuguese "Porto" (September 19 and December 13), the Belgian "Antwerp" (October 4 and November 28) and the Spanish "Barcelona" (October 25 and November 7). The top two teams from the four groups will advance to the knockout stages.
