Oleg Protasov awarded the participants of the tournament among veterans in support of the "Storm" Offensive Guard

On September 23-24, with the assistance of the Association of Football Veterans of Ukraine and the European League of Veterans, a football tournament among veterans "Super League 40+" was held in support of the "Bureviy" Offensive Guard. The first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association Oleg Protasov took part in the event.

The tournament was held at the "Left Bank" stadium in the Kyiv region. Six teams participated in it, which were divided into two groups of three teams each. The matches took place according to the round-robin system.

 

After the first game day, based on the results of the group stage, the winners of the two groups and the best second team advanced to the Super League. The third-placed teams and the second-worst team in the group made up the "Premier League".

 

After the final stage of the "Super League", the team "LSTM N 536" from Lutsk became the absolute winner of the tournament. "Dnipro" took second place, "Girnyk-Sport" from Horishni Plavni took third place. Taras Kabanov won the prize for the best player of the Superleague 40+, Serhiy Duginov was recognized as the best goalkeeper, Vasyl Sachko was recognized as the best defender, and Oleksandr Kosyrin was recognized as the best forward.

 

The "SKV-KM" team won the "Higher League", the "Machuhy" team came second, and "Yantar" came third. Serhii Shakun was recognized as the best player of this mini-tournament. Serhii Meleshko was named the best among goalkeepers, Oleksiy Aflatarly among defenders, Mykhailo Volkodav among forwards.

 

The first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association, Oleg Protasov, awarded the winners of the tournament. The rest of the teams also received awards, and the best players received individual prizes and souvenirs from the UAF.

Funds collected during the tournament were transferred to the needs of the Burevay Offensive Guard for the purchase of a Starlink satellite Internet terminal.
