Today, February 25, before the match of the 18th round of the Vbet League "Metalist 1925" - "Dynamo", the president of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko answered several topical questions on the air of the "UPL TV" channel.

"First of all, I would like to once again thank the boys and girls who serve in the Armed Forces and choose for us the opportunity to live. And even play football. All fans wanted football to return after the winter break, and expect from the teams a quality game that gives positive emotions.

The training of the national team of Ukraine will soon begin before the Euro-2024 qualification play-off match with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The players from the domestic championship will go to Marbella, where representatives of foreign clubs will come later. It is important that the boys come motivated, and we will do everything necessary for their effective training," said the head of the UAF.

Andriy Shevchenko also talked about the important events that took place this week with his participation, and shared his thoughts on the strategic preservation of football resources for the country.

"I had meetings with representatives of UPL and PFL, where there were no restrictions during communication. One of the main issues raised was the topic of judges. The committee of arbitrators was headed by Kateryna Monzul, who had the opportunity to form her team and offer her experiences. Let's connect the lie detector, draw. The main thing is to restore trust in our judges.

Regarding the topic of preserving our football resource abroad... We know about these children who were forced to leave Ukraine due to the full-scale invasion of the aggressor. And we talked about this during the recent UEFA Congress in Paris with representatives of some associations - in particular, the Croatian one, which has a similar experience.

We will monitor our young football players who are studying in academies of other countries - England, Germany, etc. It is also important to establish contact with their families. We will do the best that depends on us, and we will believe that they will return," the UAF president emphasized.
