An educational and methodological seminar for futsal referees under the auspices of FIFA was held in Lviv

A three-day educational and methodological seminar for futsal referees was held in Lviv from March 17 to 20 under the auspices of FIFA in cooperation with the Ukrainian Football Association and the Futsal Association of Ukraine.

The event took place with the organizational and methodological support of the members of the arbitration committee of AFU — Oleksiy Banaska, Roman Prots, Yuriy Veremchuk, Oleg Ivanov, and Viktor Derda, curator of futsal arbitration from UAF.

The program of the seminar, which was lectured by the FIFA instructor, the head of the UEFA futsal arbitration commission, the Spaniard Pedro Galan, included a number of important activities, in particular, pedagogical testing of knowledge of the Rules of the Game, video testing of game episodes and the completion of the FIFA fitness test for physical training. In addition, there was also a practical part of the event, during which classes were held on modeling game situations, making balanced decisions under conditions of stress and under significant physical exertion.

Special attention was also paid to a large block of questions regarding the modern interpretation of all possible game situations related to contact between the ball and the hand, depriving the opponent of an obvious scoring opportunity, tactical fouls, serious violations of the Rules of the Game, unsportsmanlike behavior, and others.
