During Euro-2024, the national team of Ukraine will be located near Frankfurt
During the final tournament of Euro-2024, the national team of Ukraine will be based in the town of Wiesbaden with a population of less than 300 thousand inhabitants, which is the capital of the federal state of Hesse. The largest city of this land is Frankfurt, located only 30 km from the administrative center. Among Wiesbaden's sister cities is our Kamianets-Podilskyi.
In Wiesbaden, our team will live and train at the local stadium. From its tournament camp, the national team will have convenient access to all three cities of the group stage matches. The longest distance to Munich, where the Ukrainian national team will play the opening match of the Euro against Romania (June 17), is 400 km. The blue-yellow team plans to arrive there two days before the game. But the two next cities of the group stage, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, are actually the same distance away - about 200 kilometers. Ukrainians plan to get here by bus.
The national team of Ukraine will begin preparations for the final tournament on May 30 in another German city — Nuremberg, where on June 3 it will play a friendly match against the hosts of Euro-2024. The next day, our team will fly to Poland, where on June 7 they will play a friendly match with the local team. The final game of the pre-tournament camp will be a meeting with the national team of Moldova on June 11 in Chisinau. The next day, June 12, the national team will arrive at the place of permanent deployment for Euro-2024.
