After a series of five matches without victories in all tournaments, which lasted a month, Kyiv was able to improve their mood thanks to a successful performance in the Europa League. However, guests from Kazakhstan did not allow it.

A regular in the group stage of the European Cups, Astana, did not disappear on the field of "Olympic". The champions of Kazakhstan even had an advantage in some parts of the game, and moments arose at the gates of both rivals. Already in the 3rd minute Rusyn won the fight in the air and made a discount to Tsygankov, who quickly dealt with the defender and scored from a sharp angle, hitting the goalkeeper. Then Kendzora after a corner dangerously punched his head, but Kabananga managed to get a decent answer and struck no less dangerous blow, being surrounded by three Kievans.

The hosts opened the score by attacking in the center. Tsygankov played a "wall" with Buyalsky and scored from the outside of the penalty area. Having missed, Kyivans came to their senses for a long time, even allowing the guests to create a few more threatening situations. But just before the break, Garmash noticed the mistake of the Kazakh goalkeeper. Erich dropped the ball after Verbych's pass, and Denis sent it to the net. 2: 1.

In the second half, Tsygankov was close to getting a double, but a powerful blow from Victor from a killer position parried Eric.
