The Open Soccer Lessons Championship is pacing the regions of the country

After Kyiv, one of the leading projects in the development of grassroots and school football, the Open Football Lessons Champions Festival, implemented by the Football Federation of Ukraine and the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, has moved through the regions of our country.

Kirovograd, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Rivne regions took the first baton.

Kirovohrad region

From September 21 to 26, Novgorod region united into one football family. 192 children from five schools of the district took part in the festival. A sufficient number of footballs and other equipment provided by the Football Federation of Ukraine, as well as a quality organization from the regional and district football federations, Novgorod RDA, district education department, Novgorod village council contributed to the sports holiday. The festival was opened by the chairman of the Kirovohrad Regional Football Federation Viktor Bezsmertny.

On the last day of the festival, traditionally, as in other regions of Ukraine, the "Sweet Cup" was held, where everyone had the opportunity to show their skills and abilities on the football field, which was divided into separate squares (all participants were divided into teams) .

At the closing ceremony of the festival, the winner of the cup, Denis Vorona, was announced. Second place went to Bohdan Rapitsky, third - Maxim Chorny. All of them received cups and sweet gifts from the hands of Oleksandr Shevchenko, head of the Kirovohrad regional branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

In addition, all children were awarded commemorative medals of the participants of the first such festival in the Novgorod district.

Ternopil region

On September 24-28, the project visited the sports complex of the Pidvolochysk Children's and Youth Sports School. The event was attended by 192 students from 13 educational institutions of Pidvolochysk and Skalat OTG of Ternopil region.

The festival was opened by the chairman of the Ternopil Regional Football Federation Taras Yuryk. The participants were greeted by Volodymyr Vetrykush, First Deputy Chairman of the Pidvolochysk Village Council, Svitlana Motyka, Head of the Education Department, and Halyna Yednak, Regional Project Coordinator.

The participants of the event received from the Football Federation of Ukraine and the Charitable Foundation "Football Development of Ukraine" sports equipment for football lessons and certificates of participants, as well as sweet gifts from local organizers.

Zhytomyr region

Then the festival moved to Zhytomyr region, where on September 28 in the village of Pylypovychi, Novohrad-Volynskyi district, a real football holiday took place, which was attended by the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Football Federation Ruslan Pavlyuk, representatives of the district education department and other guests.

About 200 children from the district took part in the event. The organizers of the festival identified as one of its main tasks the transfer of emphasis in children's football from the results of competitions to the process of the game and getting pleasure from it.

Chernihiv region

192 students of Hrodna schools participated in the festival in Chernihiv region, among them there were many girls. Children from large families, deprived of parental care and other socially unprotected categories were also ignored.

Physical education teachers, local youth trainers and volunteers took an active part in the event. The festival was co-ordinated by the Chernihiv Oblast Football Federation by Anatoliy Svistun and Tatiana Dzhuman, who held a training seminar with local coaches and volunteers ahead of the event, defining the tasks of organizing and hosting the football holiday.

The grand opening of the festival was attended by the head of the Chernihiv regional federation Gennady Prokopovich, the chairman of the Gorodnyan city council Andriy Bogdan, heads of the departments of education, physical culture and sports, culture, veterans of football.

The football festival was very lively and active, and the children received practical football skills, a lot of positive emotions and fun. In memory of this holiday, they also have branded T-shirts and balls.

Rivne region

In the last week of September, participants of the festival of champions from the city of Varash, Volodymyrets, Zarichne, Rokytne districts and the city of Dubrovytsia arrived at the People's Stadium of the Dubrovytsia Lyceum-School.

The holiday was opened by the People's Deputy of Ukraine Vasyl Yanitsky, the head of the Dubrovytsia district state administration Mykola Petrushko, the regional project coordinator from the Rivne Regional Football Federation Alexei Gladkov.

The football field of the cozy stadium was divided into squares, in which the participants of the festival had the opportunity to compete in various competitions with elements of football, to learn new exercises. The organizers of the event decided to divide the children into different groups, not following the territorial principle, ie in each group there were young football players from different areas, which allowed the children to get to know each other. In addition to purely football stations, the participants of the "Open Lessons" also talked to police officers and a psychologist, who conducted interesting conversations and games with children in the relevant squares.

So football has once again proved that it is one of the social phenomena that bring children and teenagers together and distract them from the harmful effects of the street and excessive exposure to the "computer world". At the end of the festival, the equipment provided by FFU was distributed among the participants of the event.

It will be recalled that the main goal of the Open Football Lessons is the integration of IDPs from Donbass and Crimea into local host communities, as well as psychological assistance to the children of servicemen. In addition, such activities help children find new friends and learn active communication among peers.

Only in the fall of 4000 children and 500 volunteers were involved in the project in different regions of Ukraine.
