Europa League: Dynamo wins Astana in Kazakhstan to guarantee Euro Cup spring

In the duel of the two leaders of group K the victory went to the Ukrainian team. The Dynamo players played pragmatically, on the result, and, not even demonstrating enchanting football, secured themselves a quiet finish of the group tournament.

The match in Astana started earlier than the game between Yablonets and Rennes. But it was enough for Dynamo not to lose in Kazakhstan to secure a place in the playoffs, despite the results of other matches.

Some exoticism of the match, at least for Kyiv, was added by the fact that it was held in a stadium with a roof and an artificial turf. As the course of events showed, the unusual conditions created serious problems for Dynamo, which could not adapt to the synthetic coating for a long time. The players of the Ukrainian team have repeatedly made mistakes in passing in simple situations, practically not threatening the goal of "Astana". The hosts periodically created moments, and the guests were rescued several times by Burda, who was in the right place at the right time.

But the high class of Dynamo players showed in the 29th minute, when they, having carried out a demonstration attack in the center, used their only goal opportunity in the first half. Tsygankov, having received a "vertical" pass from Che Che, elegantly extended the trajectory of the ball to Verbych with his heel, and the Slovenian scored in the bottom corner of the goal in the fight against the defender. 0: 1. Kyiv kept the winning score until the break, although Murtazaev had a great opportunity to score in return, but did not hit the ball, being in front of an empty corner of the goal.

In the second half, Astana's territorial advantage became even more noticeable, but the hosts' attempts to score did not reach the goal. Boyko acted confidently on the goal line, coping with several dangerous shots of the opponents, in particular, passing the ball into the crossbar after Rukavina's shot.   

The match of Dynamo was attended by players who were called up to the last training camp of the national team of Ukraine: Boyko, Burda, Mykolenko, Shaparenko (replaced in the 64th minute), Tsygankov (replaced in the 84th minute, assists).
