At the level of European Cups, the Ukraine-Germany confrontation ended in favor of our clubs in only 40% of cases, but against Greece the statistics are better: 60% of matches are against Ukrainian teams.

Shakhtar's first match against Frankfurt's Eintracht in the 1/16 finals of the Europa League will take place on February 14 in Kharkiv. On the same day in Athens, Kyiv will meet with Greek Olympiacos. It will be recalled how our relations with the representatives of Germany and Greece in the European Cups developed.

Throughout history, Ukrainian teams have played with the Germans 64 times. Ukrainians won 40% of duels against Germans. But it is Shakhtar that has a higher figure of 50%. 

It should also be noted that Shakhtar have won the last two confrontations with Bundesliga clubs: Schalke have 0: 0 and 3: 0 in the sum of two matches, and Hoffenheim have won 2: 2 and 3: 2. And both times the miners defeated the Germans on the road.

General Statistics: Ukraine - Germany - 18 wins, 15 draws and 31 defeats. In 14 matches the Ukrainians went on, in the 21st - the Germans.

Shakhtar - Germany - five wins, six draws and six defeats. In five European Cup matches, Donetsk celebrated success, in five - their German rivals.

100% of Dynamo

For Dynamo Kyiv, the upcoming duel with Olympiacos in the 1/16 finals of the Europa League will be the fifth in European Cups with clubs from Greece.

In history, Ukrainian teams have met with Greek 28 times. Ukrainians celebrated success in these duels in 60% of cases. But the statistics of Dynamo with Greek clubs are just perfect - 100% of the next round of European Cup tournaments.

The last confrontation between Dynamo Kyiv and the Greek Super League club took place last season. After drawing twice with AEK Athens (1: 1 and 0: 0), Oleksandr Hatskevich's charges reached the next round of the Europa League at the expense of the away ball. 

General Statistics: Ukraine - Greece - 10 wins, 12 draws and six defeats. In nine matches our teams went further, in six - Greek. 

Dynamo - Greece - four wins, three draws and one defeat. In all four two-match confrontations, Kyiv celebrated success.
