Elena Kudzieva: “90% Percentage of Ukrainian National Team Candidates Decided

In late May, the selection committee for the selection of candidates for the head coach of the girls national team of Ukraine WU-15 opted out on Elena Kudzieva, who then led the women's team of the major league "Zlagoda-Dnipro-1".

- Why was I chosen among the other six contenders? I think that thanks to my experience, because at one time I was a football player, then I focused on coaching, - says Elena Kudzieva in an interview with the official website of the UAF. - And not without success - "Zlagoda-Dnipro-1" became a semifinalist of the last draw of the Cup of Ukraine among women. It is a pity that due to financial problems Dnipro stopped playing in the all-Ukrainian arena…

- How did you start working in a new place?

- From reviewing potential candidates for the national team. In August, I visited Kovel for the final part of the Ukrainian championship among 15-year-old girls in the first league, and attended several matches with the participation of teams of the top division of the same age category. In short, there is a lack of information.

- And there are still vacancies in this list?

- Yes, because I decided on the candidates for a place in the national team by 90 percent. As expected, most of them are representatives of Ladomyr from Volodymyr-Volynskyi, where they work productively with change. I still hope to take someone to the pencil after watching the matches of the Ukrainian championship among 13-year-old football players.

- And when will the debut of the girls' national team of Ukraine take place under your leadership?

- We plan to gather on November 20. And on the 24th and 26th we will hold sparring matches with Belarusian peers.
