Officially. UAF fines Shakhtar FC
Yesterday a meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association was held.
We are the most resonant decisions of the SCC at the last meeting already reported. In addition, disciplinary sanctions were imposed on FC Shakhtar Donetsk. The club must pay a mandatory fee of 20 hryvnias for making informational announcements at the stadium during the match of the 000th round of the UPL in Russian.
SCC UAF considered these actions of the club as damaging the reputation of football, as Article 34 of the Law of Ukraine "On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state" provides that information and other announcements during sporting events are made in the state language.
