For three rounds before the winter break in the 2019/2020 season in the youth championship of Ukraine, there is still a struggle of three teams for first place in the standings.

Months ago, when published preview, the leader was Vorskla's Oleg Krasnopyorov (25 points, 10 matches), followed by Dynamo (24, 9) and Shakhtar (22, 9). "Alexandria" was a little behind (18, 9).

By and large, the changes are almost imperceptible. Yes, Vorskla lost the lead, but it was expected, because the pursuers had a duel in reserve. However, behind the scenes there are certain nuances. And they say that Poltava could continue to lead the race if they were not defeated by Zorya on October 25 - 0: 4.

Looking at the standings, it is difficult to understand why this result is surprising. But we remember that after nine rounds (at the time of the preliminary review) Volodymyr Mykytin's team was ... second from the end and had only two victories in assets and seven defeats in liabilities. That is why this defeat became a sensation.

"Zorya", by the way, then rushed forward, won two more matches, drew with "Alexandria" (0: 0) and soared to the fifth place in the standings. Shakhtar scored the same amount, but in the conditional table of this segment of the championship they are inferior to Zorya in the difference between goals scored and conceded. Fernando Valente's charges beat Kolos (3: 1), Oleksandriya (3: 1), Karpaty (3: 2) and Lviv (2: 0), and also drew with Dynamo (1). : 1).
