European Cups schedule and Ukrainian representation in the 2020/2021 season
UEFA has announced the calendar of European club tournaments in 2020. The next season will begin on June 9 with the draw of the previous rounds in the Champions League and Europa League.
For Ukraine, the European season will start on June 17, when the second qualifying stage of the Europa League will be formed. The first match for our representative at this stage is scheduled for July 23.
In total, Ukraine will be represented in the European Cups by five clubs. The champion will receive a ticket to the group stage of the Champions League, the vice-champion - to the third qualifying round. The latter will need to overcome the resistance of two opponents to get to the main grid. In case of failure at any stage, our representative will automatically move to the group round of the Europa League.
Three of our clubs will start in the Europa League. She has to get to the group stage with 16 other participants immediately winner of the Cup of Ukraine (or a bronze medalist in the Premier League if the Champions League member wins the Cup).
In turn, the third UPL team (or fourth) will start in the third qualifying round, and winner of the UPL playoffs - in another. Thus, our delegates will need to pass two and three opponents, respectively, to get to the main grid.

Champions League
UPL Champion starts in the group round.
The draw is on August 27, the first round is on September 15/16.
UPL Vice-Champion starts in the third qualifying round.
The draw is on July 20, the matches are on August 4/5 and August 11.
Europa League
Winner of the Cup of Ukraine or bronze winner of the UPL starts in the group round.
The draw is on August 28, the first round is on September 17.
Third or fourth team UPL starts in the third qualifying round.
The draw is on July 20, the matches are on August 6 and August 13.
Winner of the UPL playoffs starts in the second qualifying round.
The draw is on June 17, the matches are on July 23 and July 30.
