Ukrainian futsal team begins preparation for the elite round of the 2020 World Cup selection

Oleksandr Kosenko's wards started the preparatory gathering ahead of the elite round of World Cup selection.

Today, January 27, the team gathered in Brovary, where in the coming days will prepare for official matches. According to the head coach of the Ukrainian national futsal team Oleksandr Kosenko, so far there have been no changes part no - all the guys came to the location.

On Monday, the blue and yellows held one training session, the next two days they will work in the mode of two classes, and on Thursday they will have another one. The flight to Belgrade is scheduled for January 31. From the capital of Serbia, the team will go directly to Nis, where Elite round matches will take place on February 1-4. Recall that, as a result of the draw Ukrainians are in Group B, where they will meet with teams from Spain, Serbia and France.

The winners of each of the four elite round groups will go directly to the World Cup. Teams that will take second place in the groups will go to the playoffs, which will play two more tours of the mundial. Butt matches are scheduled for April 9th ​​and April 12th, 2020. The confrontation will be two-match. In case of participation in the playoffs the national team of Ukraine will meet with a representative of Group A and the first match will be held at home (April 9), and the return match - away (April 12).

In total, according to the UEFA quota, seven representatives of the Old World will be included in the finals of the World Cup, which will take place in Lithuania from September 12 to October 4, 2020 (Lithuania being automatically allowed to the final). 

We will also add that AFC (Asia) will be able to send five teams to the 2020 World Cup, CAF (Africa) - three, CONCACAF (North and Central America) - four, CONMEBOL (South America) - four, OFC (Oceania) - one (qualified team of the Solomon Islands). A total of 24 teams will take part in the world championship.
