Vorskla footballers quite unexpectedly won over Desna (1: 0) and after a long break made it to the semifinals of the Cup of Ukraine.

- We were not frightened by the fact that Chernihiv are uncomfortable rivals, - said the captain of "Vorskla" Volodymyr Chesnakov in a comment to the official website of the UAF. - After all, we lost to Desna both in the first and in the second round of the first stage of the Premier League. But this time the motivation was great, everyone wanted to show their best qualities and, in my opinion, we played to win. It is gratifying that after the appearance of Yuri Maksimov's team at the helm, Vorskla became monolithic not only on the football field, but also outside it.

Who would you like to compete with in the semifinals? You know, my godfather, Andriy Tkachuk, now plays for Minai. So, after the victory of the Transcarpathians over "Ingulets", I congratulated him on this rally, and he, for his part, wished us to celebrate the victory over "Desna" and meet in the semifinals.
