Euro 2020. Ukraine will play in Amsterdam, city confirmed hosting the tournament in 2021

At the European Championship, the national team of Ukraine will play in Amsterdam, which confirmed its readiness to host the tournament in 2021. 

The Dutch government, the municipality of Amsterdam, the Schiphol airport administration, the Johan Cruyff Arena management and the Royal Football Association of the Netherlands (KNVB) have reaffirmed their readiness to host Euro 2020, which has been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports reported the official website of KNVB

"I am pleased to confirm the status of Amsterdam as a city that will become one of the hosts of the European Championship. I have never had any doubts about this, but everything must be arranged properly. I am very grateful to everyone who is involved in organizing the tournament in our capital, "said Geis de Jong, Director of the Euro 2020 Organizing Committee in Amsterdam.

Three group stage matches and one 1/8 final match are planned in Amsterdam. It should be noted that the Ukrainian national team will play its opening match at the tournament in the Dutch capital against Ronald Kuman's team.
