Europa League. Kolos debuted with a victory over Aris

Kolos Kovalivka made it to the third qualifying round of the Europa League, defeating Aris on the road.

Ruslan Kostyshyn's wards won a pass to the Europa League, winning the Ukrainian Premier League playoffs. In the debut European Cup match, Kolos played in Thessaloniki against local Aris.

On the eve in the Premier League Kovalivka's side defeated Lviv. Compared to that match, there was only one substitution in the team - Zozulya came out in defense. And it was Alexei who had the first real chance to open an account, but after the transfer he could not properly put his foot.

If at the beginning of the meeting Kolos acted cautiously, then Ukrainians gained courage every minute. The second half began with a historic goal by Kovalev - Bogdanov executed a free kick from the left flank, and Novak hit the far corner with his head. However, the rivals soon won back. After the attack with the right flank and the shot, the ball bounced to Bruno Gama, and the ex-player of "Dnipro" scored in the right nine.

During this period, Kolos players felt a lot of psychological pressure, but scored the second goal in time. During the counterattack Morozka managed to pass from the right flank, Yemets' shot was blocked by the goalkeeper, but Antyukh managed to finish it off. By the way, Denis was the author of the decisive goal of his team in the playoffs for the right to play in the Europa League.

The exit of the ex-forward of the national team of Ukraine Seleznyov helped Kolos in the last minutes - Yevhen clung to the ball in his experience and struck several dangerous blows. We also note the unrealized access to Antyukha himself. The Greeks created their moments, but Volynets made several saves, and Mancini in the extra time the referee missed from a deadly position.

As a result, Kolos won its first European Cup match in history. Now in the third qualifying round of the Europa League, the Kovalivka team will meet with Croatian Rijeka away.. The one-match duel will take place on September 24.
