Ukrainian U-21 Championship: Shakhtar lost twice and lost the second place

In the month that has passed since then last review of the Ukrainian U-21 championship, the teams managed to hold four matches. With a few exceptions: the coronavirus pandemic prevented the Mariupol reservists from playing two matches in time - against Shakhtar and Olimpik.

Shakhtar, by the way, lost its second place in the standings, beating Alexandria. But the reasons for the Pitmen's decline are not only that Fernando Valente's team played less than the competition. The main thing is Shakhtar's two defeats in three rounds: in the 7th round - against Vorskla (0: 1) and in the 9th round - against Dynamo (1: 3). In the end - only three points out of nine possible.

"Alexandria", "Rukh", "Zorya" and "Dynamo" showed completely different results, scoring nine points each in four meetings. Kolos has eight.

Interestingly, these five best teams of the last segment of the season took points from each other. The main sensation happened in the 6th round, when the debutant of the U-21 championship, Rukh, defeated Dynamo 3: 1. However, it should be noted that a large group of Karpaty students played in the Rukh, and their training system is one of the best in Ukraine.

In the same round, Kolos defeated Zorya (3: 2), which beat Rukh (2: 0) in the next round, and Dynamo beat Oleksandriya 4-2.

The only team that has never lost in the last four matches is Kolos, but Vladislav Savchuk's boys twice parted ways with their rivals: "Minai" - 0: 0, "Dnipro-1" - 1: 1.

Zorya managed to make the most progress last month: from the 10th step the team flew to the fourth, winning three matches out of four. Rukh (it was in the seventh position), Kolos (8), Desna (11), Minai (13) also went up, Mariupol (4), Vorskla (5) went in the opposite direction. ), Dnipro-1 (6), Lviv (9), Ingulets (12).

But let us remind you that Mariupol played only two matches against four in most other teams (victory and defeat). Therefore, the demotion of Oleksiy Hetman's wards was forced. And the lag behind the same "Dawn" is minimal.

Olympic remains a constant outsider, although he managed to draw twice in the last month. But that was not enough to overtake Ingulets, who have lost the last four matches with a total score of 0:18.
