Today Shakhtar and Dynamo meet their rivals in the Europa League round of 1
The draws of the UEFA Champions League round of 1 and the UEFA Europa League round of 8 will take place today. In addition to the Ukrainian teams, Dynamo and Shakhtar, which will play in the Europa League, the clubs whose colors are defended by the players of the Ukrainian national team will continue to play in both tournaments.

The draw of the UCL round of 1 will start at 8 pm Kyiv time. Among others, Andrii Lunin's Real, Oleksandr Zinchenko's Manchester City and Ruslan Malinovskyi's Atalanta will take part in it.

The draw will be blind, but under two prerequisites: teams from one country will be separated, as well as clubs that played in a group tournament in one quartet. The teams in the second basket will play the first matches of this round at home.
The first matches of the Champions League round of 1 will take place on February 8, 16, 17 and 23, and the return matches on March 24, 9, 10 and 16, 17.

During the draw, which starts at 14.00 pm Kyiv time, Dynamo will be among the unseeded teams, and Shakhtar will be among the seeded ones. This means that Mircea Lucescu's wards will play the first match on the 1/16 at home, and Luis Castro's ones will play away.
The draw will be blind. But, firstly, at this stage of the competition, clubs that have played in the same group will definitely not play each other, secondly, representatives of one country will not be permitted to face each other, and thirdly, Shakhtar will never cross paths with Russian Krasnodar.
We will add that after the group tournament in the Europa League there is only one foreign club, the colors of which are defended by the football player of the national team of Ukraine - the Belgian Brugge with Eduard Sobol.
