Today in Kharkiv, fans had the opportunity to host the national team of Ukraine for the European Championship, which played the final, third friendly match at the training camp.

Timchyk, Sydorchuk and Tsygankov were not included in the protocol for sparring with Cyprus from 26 players who applied for the Euro. In the starting lineup, the somewhat unusual appearance of the defensive line, where there was no nominal right winger, attracted attention - Zabarny had to perform these functions. The first game during the training camp was played by Zinchenko, who was the last joined the team after the UEFA Champions League final, and Pyatov.

From the start of the match, the blue and yellows acted productively in the attack, alternating short and medium passes with throws at Yaremchuk. In the 9th minute, Roman was on the edge after a shot by Zinchenko from the left flank, but at close range failed to beat the goalkeeper. Eventually, the intensity of the action decreased somewhat, and the Cypriots even managed to conduct several counterattacks and force Pyatov to enter the game.

Yaremchuk got another chance to open the scoring for the Ukrainians in the middle of the half, who after Zubkov's pass punched from the penalty line, but failed to adjust to the bouncing ball. Soon Yarmolenko ended the massive attack of the hosts with a heel kick, but Andriy was also unlucky to score. And in the 31st minute Yaremchuk wasted a luxurious chance created for him by his partners. When Zinchenko got down to business, scoring from the middle distance, the ball left the field.

However, shortly before the break after the corner Cypriots, Andriy Shevchenko's wards launched a counterattack, which became decisive. Panayotu lost the race to Zubkov and threw him on the lawn, earning a penalty and a penalty. Yarmolenko opened the scoring from the 11-meter mark, and the advantage of the Ukrainians in the numerical majority became even more noticeable. Zinchenko also scored the second goal for the visitors from a penalty awarded to Ioanna.

After the break, the Cypriot team spent most of the playing time in a low defensive block. The Ukrainians, on the other hand, continued to bomb the possessions of Panai, who worked tirelessly. Yaremchuk, who completed the multi-pass combination, and Yarmolenko, who made a double thanks to a ricochet, made a crushing score. And the last transfer to both was given by Marlos. The national team of Ukraine won with a comfortable score of 4: 0 and provided a charge of positive emotions on the eve of official matches.

Thus, the preparatory collection of the blue-yellows is completed. Tomorrow the team will go to Bucharest, where it will be based during Euro 2020. The Ukrainians will start the tournament on June 13 with a game against the Netherlands in Amsterdam.
