Women's Champions League. Zhytlobud-1 reached the final of the first round of the tournament

Kharkiv's Zhytlobud-1 beat Bulgaria's Sofia in the semifinals of the first round of the 2021/2022 Women's Champions League.

The Ukrainians opened the scoring in the 11th minute - Boychenko gave an assist to Shevchuk. Zhytlobud-1 could have increased the advantage, but instead missed in the middle of the first half, when Alexandrova finished the counterattack.

For a while the game leveled off, but in the second half Kharkiv had a significant advantage. After a series of dangerous moments in the 52nd minute, Shmatko completed the combination with an accurate shot. Later, Apanashchenko hit the post from the penalty spot, but soon Ovdiychuk increased the advantage of the Ukrainians. At the end of the meeting, Ovdiychuk scored two more assists on Boychenko and Kochneva.

After defeating Sofia 5-1, Zhytlobud-1 will play in the final of the first round on August 21 against Slovenian Pomurje, which beat RFSH from Latvia.
