World Cup-2022. The national team of Ukraine drew with Kazakhstan in the second match of the qualifying tournament

In Nur-Sultan, the Ukrainians created a lot of scoring opportunities, but after a dramatic outcome in stoppage time again lost the victory.

In the five months that have passed since previous meeting rivals, teams have undergone some changes. There were a lot of personnel differences in both national teams, however, of the players who did not go to Euro 2020, where Ukraine was in the top 8 teams of the tournament, only Buyalsky came on the field.

The Ukrainians came into the game even with a new coach - Oleksandr Petrakov played his debut match at the head of the blue-yellows. The scheme with three central defenders, which was used by the coaching staff, did not become completely new for the team, and the national team sometimes played with Andriy Shevchenko in this formation. The teams, in fact, have not yet entered the game, as the Ukrainians have already taken the lead. As in the previous match between these rivals, Yaremchuk succeeded. Roman received a pass from Karavaev in front of the home team's penalty area, forged the ball with his chest and sent it almost to the top corner of Pokatilov's goal. 0: 1.

It was noticeable that the Kazakh goalkeeper quickly missed a goal, he acted insecurely during the free kicks and shots of the guests. Ukrainians felt quite comfortable on an unusual artificial turf, at least, the lack of their actions was much less.

In the 17th minute, Mykolenko's connection with the left flank created another dangerous situation, but Sobol's shot, which ended the attack, hit the post. Eight minutes later, the ball hit the frame of the goal again, also after the attack from the left - this time Yarmolenko was unlucky.

In the second half, the Kazakhs started to move forward more actively and even tried to enter the selection in the half of the away field. Talgat Baisufinov's wards struck several blows from a long distance, some of which were quite dangerous. As for the innings to the penalty area, which were used by the hosts, Pyatov dealt with such situations without too much excitement. Shortly before the break, the Ukrainians did not realize a very promising penalty (Zinchenko hit the opponent), although the end of the half in general could give the Kazakhs some reason for optimism.

After the break, the Kazakh team tried to act as the number one, and Petrakov's wards were given more space to attack, but could not use it. After an hour of playing time, the coaches began to make substitutions. First of all, Alexander Petrakov and Talgat Baysufinov released fresh players into the line of attack. Immediately after that, two wonderful moments were created by the Ukrainians, but Matvienko and Sobol did not use the exits alone with the goalkeeper.

Soon the Kazakhs carried out their sharp attack, and Aimbetov's goal was canceled due to offside (the referee's decision was confirmed by VAR). And then the diagonal from Tagibergen found Valiullin, who shot Pyatov. 1: 1. The national team of Ukraine could well answer effectively, but Tsygankov and Yarmolenko did not use the next great opportunities.

In the last minutes Aimbetov did not beat Pyatov after going alone, and in stoppage time the teams managed to exchange goals. Sikan, who came on as a substitute, put the visitors ahead again, but Valiullin equalized once again. 2: 2.

Ukraine ended the game in a draw for the fourth time in this cycle.
