Ukraine's national beach soccer team will compete for seventh place in the 2021 Euroleague Superfinal

The Ukrainian beach soccer team played its last match in the group round of the 2021 Euroleague Super Final, which is taking place in the Portuguese town of Figueira da Foz.

After defeats in the first two matches against Portugal (5:7) and Italy (3:5) today Mykola Kostenko's wards met with the Swiss national team. 

The beginning of the match was amazing for the blue and yellows. In the 1st minute Stankovych opened the scoring, then Yuriy Shcherytsia scored an own goal, and Andriy Pashko also received a red card. However, the Ukrainians did not give up and by the end of the first period they played back with the efforts of Oleg Zborovsky and Andriy Borsuk.

Unfortunately, in the second 12 minutes the Swiss were clearly better. The goals of Stankovych and Borer (double) were not compensated by our team with a goal scored by Oleg Zborovsky.

In the third period, the blue and yellows responded to the opponent's three goals with three, but this was not enough to save the match. The final whistle recorded the result of the match - 7: 6 in favor of Switzerland.

As a result, Mykola Kostenko's wards took fourth place in Group 2 and will now fight in the playoffs for seventh place. Our opponent will be the national team of Poland.

On September 12, the winners of the groups will play each other in the final of the Euroleague-2021. The winners of other places will be determined in the clashes between the teams that took the appropriate places in their fours. The national team of Ukraine will play against Poland at 10.45 Kyiv time.
