Chernihiv hosted "Open Football Lessons" at the modern stadium "Youth"

On a sunny and warm October day, Chernihiv hosted the Open Football Lessons project of the Ukrainian Football Association and the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation at the modern Yunost Stadium. The festival was organized by the Chernihiv Regional Football Association and educators of Chernihiv and the region.

Also thanks to the synergy with the project of the International Charitable Foundation Parimatch Foundation "Yes, I can!" a component of inclusive classes was introduced into the format of the football festival.

96 boys and girls - participants of the festival from Chernihiv schools - were as bright and happy as the day itself. To comply with anti-epidemic conditions, they were divided and engaged on a large football field in separate small groups. It should be noted that at least half of the children were girls, as well as children with special educational needs.

The festival was officially opened by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Football Association Hennadiy Prokopovych, his first deputy, regional project coordinator Anatoliy Svistun, deputy head of the Department of Education and Science of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Olena Soronovych and deputy head of the Department of Education and Science of the Chernihiv City Council Olena Horna.

Under the guidance of their mentors-volunteers, teachers and coaches, as well as young leaders - pupils of SDYUSHOR football "Youth", Chernihiv schoolchildren with great passion participated in the games at each football station. Boys and girls learned to own the ball, perform various football exercises with it, and hit the goal accurately. They performed exercises for coordination, dexterity, communication and association, intellectual tasks, for example, identifying useful and unhealthy habits. The children talked with interest to the juvenile prevention police officers.

Participants were not left without gifts - equipment and inventory from the Ukrainian Football Association and the Chernihiv Regional Football Association.

It should also be added that according to the innovative experience of holding such a football festival, teachers from the region also visited Chernihiv and showed great interest in organizing similar events in their communities.
