On May 11, a group of children who are students of the Yunist Youth Sports School and the Desna FC Academy from Chernihiv traveled to Croatia. 56 children received an invitation to the city of Split, where they will have comfortable conditions for living, training, and playing football.

This was announced by the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, Head of the UAF Coordination Center Andriy Pavelko, who visited Chernihiv on a working visit. Together with the First Vice-President of the UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko and the Vice-President and Secretary General of the UAF Yuriy Zapisotsky, they brought a consignment of aid — food and essential items — to the city, which was seriously affected by the military aggression of fascist Russia.

"Previously, these children were evacuated from Chernihiv to Western Ukraine. Their safe departure was organized by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Football Association, Hennadiy Prokopovych. I am grateful to Hennadiy Prokopovych for the safe evacuation of the children, and to Dario Srna for his assistance in organizing their departure to Croatia!" - noted Andriy Pavelko.
