On the International Children's Day, the project "Near" started at two locations in the Ternopil region
Every year on June 1, Ukraine celebrates Children's Day. It is symbolic that on this day in Ternopil region a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and UNICEF "Near" was launched at two locations, which aims to provide psychosocial assistance to children, youth and families affected by the war.
The sports component of the project is implemented by the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation in partnership with the Ukrainian Football Association with the support of the UEFA Children's Fund.
Activities for children and teenagers took place in Ternopil (at the stadium TSSH №29) and in Kremenets (on the basis of the sports complex of the Volyn Lyceum named after Nestor the Chronicler) with the participation of more than fifty children from regions of Ukraine where hostilities are taking place. Among the local participants are children from large families, low-income children, children of anti-terrorist operation / environmental protection veterans.

In Ternopil, young participants of the "Near" project were greeted by the First Deputy Chairman - Executive Director of the Ternopil Football Association Vasyl Mykolayovych Zatorsky and Director of Ternopil Specialized School №29 with in-depth study of foreign languages Anatoliy V. Yatyschuk. Young participants received gifts from the organizers and partners.

During the lesson, the children were divided into three groups and engaged in parallel at three locations, where they were interviewed by coaches, psychologists and physicians who had previously undergone specialized training. In particular, curators in Ternopil district are Volodymyr Yasyuchenya, head of the Ternopil Region Children's and Youth Football Association, in Kremenets - football coach, head coach of the adult Kremenets team "Prof-Agro" Roman Klak and in Chortkiv - teacher's coach, head coach "Crystal-U-19" Sergey Skaliy.

These were the first classes planned in three districts of Ternopil region. The project will last all summer. In addition to Ternopil region, "Near" will be held in Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi and Volyn regions, and later the project will cover children living in Zhytomyr region.
