"Open football lessons" were successfully held in Khust in Transcarpathia

The passions at the Open Football Lessons in Uzhhorod did not subside, and Khust has already joined the project.

The Ukrainian Football Association, the Transcarpathian Football Association and the Khust Community organized excellent psychosocial football events to communicate and establish friendly relations between IDP children and local children.

Local schools received a large number of sports equipment for football events, volunteers were dressed in sports suits, and each child who participated in the football festival received a soccer ball, a project T-shirt and a participant's diploma.

It should be added that within the project, a large amount of humanitarian aid in the form of medical, food kits and basic necessities was provided to the families of migrants.

Mayor Volodymyr Kashchuk, People's Deputy of Ukraine, President of the All-Ukrainian Student Football Association Ivan Krulko, Chairman of the Transcarpathian Football Association Ivan Duran and UAF project coordinator Yevhen Stolitenko greeted the children at the Khust Central Stadium.

The event was also attended by the deputy of the regional council Vasyl Krulko, deputy mayor Vasyl Sabadosh, deputy chairman and executive director of the Transcarpathian AF Viktor Naskalov, member of the Coordination Center of the UAF Vitaliy Danilchenko.

Wonderful games and exercises on the football field were conducted by local volunteers - teachers and coaches of Khust CYSS, led by its leader, the chairman of the Khust district football association Romeo Bukovetsky.

May 20-21 - Khmelnytsky region, Dunaivtsi;

May 21-22 - Chernivtsi region, Novoselytsia;

May 23-24 - Ternopil region, Buchach;

May 26-27 - Ternopil region, Zaliztsi;

May 26-27 - Khmelnytsky;

May 27-28 - Chernivtsi;

June 1-2 - Uzhhorod;

June 2-3 - Lviv region, Sosnivka;

June 3-4 - Transcarpathian region, Khust;

June 8-9 - Ivano-Frankivsk;

June 11-12 - Ivano-Frankivsk region, Nadvirna;

June 28-29 - Rivne region, Ostrog.

Other communities that have joined the project (dates expected):

- Lviv region, Stryy / Morshyn;

- Rivne.

All project activities are carried out in coordination with the regional military administrations.

It will be recalled that in April, special preparatory trainings for volunteers were held in seven regions participating in the project.

The overall goal of the Open Football Lessons project is to help protect IDP children, unaccompanied children, orphans and other vulnerable children affected by the war and forced to relocate to Western Ukraine. , Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions).

In addition to the overall goal, the project has three specific objectives:

- provide emergency humanitarian assistance (medicines, food and non-food items) to IDP children and their families;

- provide psychosocial support to children through a powerful social instrument of grassroots football, through games and open football events that will unite these target groups of children with local children;

- to provide material, technical and moral support to the united football cross-sectoral networks of the project in the western regions of Ukraine in their efforts to help the affected target groups of children.
