The heads of the UAF awarded the winners of the charity tournament "Cup of Heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine"
In Cherkasy, the final match of the charity tournament "Cup of Heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" took place in Cherkasy, which lasted from July 18 to August 13, with the participation of eight amateur teams from different settlements of Cherkasy region. The competition was organized with the support of the Ukrainian Football Association, the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, the Cherkasy Regional Football Association and the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, and their main goal was to raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The teams of FC UTK (Umansky district) and FC "Olymp" (Kamyanka) met in the decisive match of the tournament. According to the results of an uncompromising two-match confrontation, FC UTK won. The president of the Ukrainian Football Association, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko, the head of the OVA Ihor Taburets, the head of the CHOAF Andriy Poltavets, the first vice-presidents of the UAF Oleksiy Mykhailichenko and Vadym Kostyuchenko and the head of the charity fund Serhiy Prytula came to the ceremony to honor the winners and participants of the competition.

In general, during the tournament, thanks to the activity of the participating teams, the football community in general, and Cherkasy businesses, it was possible to accumulate over UAH 2,6 million.

As UAF President Andriy Pavelko noted, it is important that football in these days of difficult trials for all of Ukraine is an effective tool for helping our defenders and demonstrates the strength of the unity of our people. "It is good that similar charity tournaments with the support of the UAF Coordination Center and our regional associations take place regularly in most regions. Every fan, every player, coach, football veteran and everyone who wants to can join this, without exaggeration, all-Ukrainian football movement in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For which I am grateful to each and every representative of our football community," Pavelko said.

According to him, the championship of Ukraine will be restored very soon, precisely for the sake of unification and strengthening of faith in our joint victory over the occupier. "Football is needed by our defending soldiers, young fans who came to support their favorite teams today and received new balls as a gift from us, football is needed by all of Ukraine!" - stressed the head of the UAF.
