After the 14th round, the teams that will continue the rivalry for promotion in the next spring and those that will fight to keep registration in the first league became known.

Among Saturday's matches, let's single out the one that took place in Kyiv, where the nominal hosts from Metalurg hosted Obolon at the Left Bank stadium. Since the opponents had already secured tickets to the championship round in their "B" group, the fight was for "golden" points.

The debut was left for the players from Zaporizhzhia, who took the lead in the 14th minute: Valery Sad made a sneaky shot from the penalty area line — 1:0. The "brewers" leveled the situation quite unexpectedly, when at the end of the first half Oleksandr Chernov skillfully played on the finish.

And after the break, Volodymyr Mykytin's wards controlled the ball more often, but a burst of activity from Kyiv in the 57th minute allowed them to score the decisive goal. After a massive attack, the irrepressible Chernov assisted Vitaliy Hrushi, who hit a well-timed header. 1:2. "Obolon" interrupted the six-match unbeaten streak of the team from Zaporizhia.  

And on Sunday, the focus was primarily on three matches in group "A". In Lviv, "Karpaty" and "Polyssia" fought for the "golden" points. The visitors were the only team in the first league that had not yet lost. And the wards of Yuriy Kalitvyntsev managed to keep zero in the column of defeats in the standings. In the 14th minute, Denys Yanakov forced the hosts to capitulate. Soon, Pylyp Budkivskyi wasted two scoring opportunities. And in the 30th minute, Lviv residents remained in the minority after Oleg Len was sent off. The game advantage of the Polish pike was not in doubt, but the hosts defended their possessions.

After the break, there was a stubborn struggle on the field. In the 48th minute, Rostyslav Taranukha from Lviv equalized the score, but the last word remained with the "Polissya" universal player Yevhen Morozko. 1:2. "Karpaty" ended the first part of the season on a minor note, performing worse than expected.

And based on the results of the matches in Chernivtsi and Dunaivtsi, the last representative of the top quartet had to be decided. It became Ternopil "Niva", which prevailed over "Bukovyna" (3:0), while another contender, "Prykarpattia", lost to "Epicenter" (0:2).

In a similar situation in Group B, "Kremin" achieved the desired result in the confrontation with "Chernihiv" (3:0) and also made it to the championship round, where the chances of "Polyssia" and "Obolon" are rated the highest.
