Conference League. "Dnipro-1" in the minority played a draw with "Spartak" in Trnava

"Dnipro-1" continued its journey in the European Cups, playing in the Slovakian Trnava against the local "Spartak" within the playoff round of the Conference League qualification.

Dnipro residents a week ago said goodbye with the Europa League, conceding in the confrontation with the Czech "Slavia". So now the vice-champions of Ukraine are playing in the play-off round of the Conference League, where their opponent is the Slovakian "Spartak". "Dnipro-1" arrived in Trnava without a head coach - Oleksandr Kucher left his position the other day.

From the first minutes, the Ukrainians found themselves in the minority - Sarapii was sent off for a last-ditch foul. Accordingly, the home team gained control over the ball and more often got to Kinareykin's goal. In "Dnipro-1" it is possible to note only a header from Hutsuliak that missed the target. "Spartak" hit the target several times, in particular, Kinareykin saved after dangerous shots by Prokhazka and Djurichyn.

The Slovaks started the second half on the attack and Ofori opened the scoring in the 55th minute, bursting into the box from the right and beating Kinareikin with a ricocheting shot off the crossbar. However, in the minority, the people of Dnipro managed to fight back - Hutsulyak got hold of the ball and earned a penalty, which Pikhalyonok converted.

In the 78th minute, Daniel made a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, and "Dnipro-1" saved the crossbar. All in all, eight Ukrainians played the game, because Kohut received two yellow cards after coming on as a substitute. Nevertheless, the black-and-yellow team managed to hold on to a draw away from home - 1:1.
