In the postponed match of the third round of the Conference League group tournament, Luhansk "Zorya" lost to the Israeli "Maccabi" from Tel Aviv.

On November 9, the black and whites lost to Maccabi T-A in a nominally home game in Lublin (1:3). The away match of "Zori" against the Israelis in the third round was postponed to November 25 by the decision of UEFA. The game took place in the Serbian city of Backa-Topola. It should be noted that the Lugansk team already held a meeting with the new coach — instead of Valery Kriventsov, the team was headed by Yuriy Koval.

In the first half, the nominal hosts had more possession of the ball and more often got to someone else's penalty area, once Beaton checked Turbaevskii. "Zorya" focused on counterattacks, and in one of them Michin forced Mosquera to save his team. However, right before the break, Zahavi opened the scoring in the match with a shot under the crossbar from the half circle.

Immediately after the break, Perets took advantage of a mistake in the defense of Lugansk and increased the advantage of "Maccabi". Later, as in the last match, he scored a double, closing Kanikhovsky's pass. "Zorya" responded with a dangerous shot by Michin, which the keeper coped with. In the 71st minute, Guerrero scored one goal, taking advantage of Gorbach's pass after a mistake by the Israelis near their own goal.

At the end of the match, the black and whites managed to score for the second time - Horbach blocked Antyukh's pass from the right wing. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian team did not achieve more, so Maccabi lost again - 2:3.
