Another football tournament among ATO participants has started in Ukraine

Traditionally, in April, football competitions begin in Ukraine among combatants, ATO volunteers, and war veterans.

The matches will take place in 38 cities in the regional divisions "Kyiv", "North", "East", "Center", "West", "South". The co-organizers of the competition are the Football Federation of Ukraine, which provides teams with football equipment, balls, arbitration and takes over the lease of fields, and the Football Federation of ATO participants.   

Support for such competitions is another important social project of the Football Federation of Ukraine, aimed at supporting the defenders of our state. We will remind that in the end of March on NTK it. V. Bannikov held a charity mini-football tournament in support of wounded ATO fighters. Four teams took part in the tournament: "Niva" (Kyiv region), the team of the Union of ATO Veterans of Desnianskyi district (Kyiv), "Kulchytskyi Battalion" (Kyiv region), "Veterans' Brotherhood" (Kyiv).

In addition, a presentation took place at the Football House on March 22 All-Ukrainian tournament for veterans of hostilities who received serious injuries and mutilations, "Cup of the Unconquered". The tournament is an initiative of the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Rehabilitation of ATO Participants Vadym Svyridenko and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which was supported by the Football Federation of Ukraine, taking over the functions of the organizer of the competition. Veterans and combatants, servicemen of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, as well as volunteer formations who have certificates of participation in hostilities and received injuries, mutilations and contusions during or as a result of duty in the combat zone will take part in these competitions. in anti-terrorist operation, during peacekeeping operations with participation of Ukraine. The final of the competition will take place on May 19, 2018 at the capital's STC. V. Bannikov, and the winning team will be able to attend the final of the UEFA Champions League, which will take place at the NSC "Olympic" on May 26. 

Earlier, at the initiative of the FFU, the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine purchased the necessary medical equipment, opened a gym with special simulators for the rehabilitation of the wounded and handed over 21 apartments for the families of fallen ATO heroes. ATO fighters who were injured and are in rehabilitation are constantly given the opportunity to attend free matches with the participation of the national football team of Ukraine, including abroad. Also, the leaders of the Football Federation of Ukraine and players of the national team of Ukraine among veterans periodically visit our defenders in the anti-terrorist operation zone.
