The Executive Committee of the Children's and Youth Football League of Ukraine approved the composition of the championship teams in the major and first leagues.

On Friday, a meeting of the Executive Board of DUFLU took place in the House of Football. The first Vice-President of the FFU, Vadim Kostyuchenko, addressed the audience before the work.  

"A new season of DUFL competitions is starting in Ukraine, and I am glad to note that the national children's and youth football gives more and more reasons to be proud of our young sports talents. You and I watched with admiration and pride as a national team U-19 уfor the first time in history she reached the semifinals of the European Championship from the first place in the group, where she was opposed by the recognized grandees of European football - the national teams of France and England. But there is a lot of work ahead, and FFU is ready to make the necessary efforts to improve the training conditions of youth teams and the development of children's and youth football in general. In particular, it is planned that soon the national teams of'additional physical trainers will be available, and we hope this will increase the effectiveness of team preparation. In particular U-19, who will play at the U-20 World Cup in Poland next year.

Thank you to everyone who joined the training of the youth teams last season. We promise to make efforts in the new season to improve the material and technical base of training our DUFLU teams. I also want to call on responsible officials to more intensively develop children's football and train 6-10-year-old players. This will be facilitated by the lively development of football infrastructure, which we have seen recently.

In particular, only by November this year in Kiev alone will be put into operation more than 60 modern football fields, and in the country as a whole - about 500. Next year, such'there will be even more projects. In the future, regular tournaments among the youngest football players will be held at all these venues in all regions of Ukraine. In addition, a working group headed by FFU First Vice President Oleg Protasov is currently working to develop a comprehensive training program for young football players. This textbook will collect the best practices and techniques of the best football professionals from the leading football countries in Europe. I wish you a successful new DUFL football season and new victories! ” - said the first vice-president of FFU.

Already during the work of the executive committee, Vadim Kostyuchenko supported the proposal to return to the idea of ​​creating a youth Premier League in which 16 strongest DUFLU clubs in four age categories would win the title of champion of Ukraine. In this case, competitions in the top and first leagues would be maintained. Last time, this idea was not supported by all clubs, so it was decided to postpone the implementation of this project. Now, given the support of the leadership of the FFU and the decisive position of the leading football academies in the country, we can confidently say that the project will be implemented.

At least a working group has been set up at the executive committee, which will prepare its proposals for the transition to a new format in DUFLO from the 2019/2020 season.

In the meantime, the results of last season were approved and, on the proposal of the DUFLU Directorate, teams were formed for the 2018-2019 season. 

In the DUFL major league, the teams U-17 (born in 2002), U-16 (born in 2003), U-15 (born in 2004), U-14 (born in 2005) play here. ) this season the participants of the tournament were joined by newcomers from the first league - "Desna" Chernihiv (group 1), "Lokomotiv" Kyiv (group 2), CYSS-1 "Kryvbas-84" Kryvyi Rih (group 3) and "Podillya" Khmelnytsky ( Group 4) First the teams will play in two rounds, and then, as last season, the four best teams from each group in the playoffs will play for the finals of the final tournament. 1. The last clubs from each group should be relegated, but this will be finally known after the approval of the structure of the next championship. 

In the first league of DUFLO, where, as we recall, clubs play teams in two age categories (U-15 and U-17), this season, not nine but nine groups were formed. It has been previously decided that the top eight group winners in the playoffs will compete for four passes before the final tournament. 

As for the U-19 Junior League tournament, the top two teams from each group in the playoffs will identify four participants in the final tournament.
