On November 27, the Union of European Football Associations approved decision to move the Europa League match between Vorskla (Ukraine) and Arsenal (England) from Poltava to Kyiv. Subsequently, in an official statement from UEFA'made clear the reasons and consequences of such a move.

"On November 26, 2018, martial law was announced in some regions of Ukraine," the statement said. - In connection with this exceptional event, UEFA had to immediately assess its possible impact on the order of the UEFA Europa League match between Vorskla and Arsenal on 29 November.

The urgency of UEFA's decision to move the match to Kyiv is due to the sudden imposition of martial law and the uncertainty of the security situation in some regions of Ukraine, especially given the extremely short deadlines for assessing all possible risks.

UEFA works closely with the Football Federation of Ukraine to ensure a match at the NSC "Olympic" in Kiev.

This decision applies exclusively to the match between Vorskla and Arsenal. UEFA is also continuing to work closely with the FFU to study all the circumstances surrounding matches in some regions of Ukraine in the near future.

UEFA will send security experts to Ukraine to assess the situation and its possible impact on the security of future UEFA-sponsored matches.
