Euro-2019 (U-19): Sergei Popov's team wins elite round selection
У Swiss Nyon held a draw procedure the elite round of the European Championship 2019 years old among boys under 19 years old.
The draw was attended by 28 teams, which were divided into four baskets. The youth team of Ukraine ranks 16th in the ranking, therefore got to the third basket. The strongest ranked teams of Portugal and Germany immediately went to the elite round.
The lot sent the blue and yellows to group 7. There, Sergei Popov's team will compete with the teams of Italy, Serbia and Belgium. The hosts of the mini-tournaments in the groups will be determined later.
Composition of all elite rounds of Euro 2019 (U-19)
Group 1: Ireland, Russia, Azerbaijan, Romania.
Group 2: Greece, Czech Republic, England, Denmark.
Group 3: Germany, Hungary, Norway, Croatia.
Group 4: Spain, Netherlands, Wales, Slovenia.
Group 5: France, Israel, Switzerland, Poland.
Group 6: Portugal, Scotland, Turkey, Cyprus.
Group 7: Italy, Serbia, Ukraine, Belgium.
Only the winners of the groups that will join the hosts of the competition - the Armenians - will reach the final stage. The matches of the elite qualifying round will end by May 19, and the final tournament in Armenia will take place on July 14-27, 2019.
