The 2023 Women's World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand

On June 25, the FIFA Council announced the names of the 2023 Women's World Cup hosts. Tournament will be hosted by two countries - Australia and New Zealand.

Colombia and a joint bid from Australia and New Zealand competed for the right to host the tournament. The latter became the winner, gaining 22 votes against 13.

The 2023 Women's FIFA World Cup will be the first tournament for 32 teams, as well as the first to be held in two confederations (AFC and OFC).

Qualifying matches will start in 2021 and finish in 2022. The final tournament is scheduled for the period from July 10 to August 20, 2023.

It should be reminded that in the previous World Cup qualifying the national team of Ukraine took third place in its group and did not get to the forum held in France in 2019.
