Trust Cup: A project that aims to make communities safer and friendlier
The Trust Cup project is starting in Luhansk region, which involves police officers and physical education teachers to work with children on the concept of "Sports for Development".
Within the framework of the UN Program for the Restoration and Peacebuilding with the financial support of the Governments of Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden, the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation in partnership with the Luhansk Oblast National Police, the Ukrainian Football Association and the Luhansk Oblast Civil Administration implements the Trust Cup project.
The aim of the project is to improve the quality of police communication with citizens, build trust between children and law enforcement officials for prevention, prevention of negative phenomena and the formation of a healthy society.
The project will involve inspectors of juvenile prevention and physical education teachers, who, using the concept of "Sports for Development", will work with children and work with communities in 15 settlements of Luhansk region. Already in September this year, police officers together with teachers will undergo specialized training and then be able to form football teams of children who do not play football professionally. Children will be able to train with their mentors and take part in regional competitions. And at the end of the year the winning teams will compete for the "Trust Cup" of Luhansk region.
In addition to the sports component, the project includes discussions on topical issues such as road safety, healthy living, online and telephone fraud, domestic violence and the safety of our communities. Police officers and students will implement mini-projects to make their communities safer and friendlier.
We invite the media and other interested organizations to cooperate. Football unites!
