Futsal Champions League. The format of the tournament in the 2020/2021 season has been changed

The UEFA Executive Committee, of which UAF President Andrii Pavelko is a member, has decided to change the format of the Futsal Champions League for the 19/2020 season due to the situation with the COVID-2021 virus in Europe.

The purpose of this decision is to reduce risks by giving UEFA, clubs and national associations more time to adapt to changing circumstances and to prepare more carefully for matches, away games and the implementation of the UEFA football return protocol.

The Futsal Champions League of the 2020/2021 season will be held in the format of single playoff matches, according to the UEFA official website reports.. The competition will end with the final tournament of eight participants, which will take place next year. Lists of participants, as well as the exact dates of the draws and matches will be approved later.

Note that according to previous format The Futsal Champions League was to start in mid-October 2020.

Futsal Champions League 2020/2021

Previous round: November 24-29, 2020.

1/16 finals: January 12-17, 2021.

1/8 finals: February 16-21, 2021.

Final rounds: (quarterfinals, semifinals, final): April / May 2021.

We will remind that for participation in League of champions on futsal of a season-2020/2021 Executive Committee of Association of futsal of Ukraine decided to delegate MFK Prodeksim (Kherson).
