Futsal Champions League. The HEAT drew with the reigning tournament winners and finished third in the elite round group

Kyiv "HIT" finished its performance in the elite round of the futsal Champions League with a match against the Spanish "Palma".

Overcoming main round, the champion of Ukraine made it to the elite, where 16 clubs were divided into four groups with four participants in each. By the will of the draw "HIT" found himself in group D together with Spanish "Palma" (host), Croatian "Olmissum" and Polish "Lyuba". The winners of each of the four quartets of the elite round advance to the final stage, which will take place in May 2024.

In the opening game, Kyiv lost dramatically to "Lyuba" (5:6), and then in the last seconds they won against "Olmissum" (4:3). In the final match of the quartet, Oleg Lukyanenko's wards only needed to win, and by at least two goals. The task was complicated by the fact that they were opposed by "Palma" - the current one winner Champions League and host group.

The start of the match was left to the Spaniards, in particular, in the 4th minute, Gordillo hit the post. The Ukrainians gradually leveled the course of the game, Melnyk wasted a good opportunity. At the 14th minute, our team took the lead — Abakshin closed Pedyash's pass-kick at the far post. By the end of the first half, "Palma" tried to fight back, but Sukhov stood in the way of this, and in another episode, Gomez missed from a killer position.

The second half of the meeting began with several inaccurate shots by the Spaniards. "HIT" responded with a shot by Zhuk, who pulled the goalkeeper. "Palma" continued to create moments near our goal, and in the 24th minute Gordillo pushed the ball past Sukhov. Soon Kleber could score, but the Kyiv goalkeeper saved. However, in the 26th minute, Oledhobad brought the home team ahead.

In the future, "HIT" had moments Chernyavskyi, Abakshin, at the end of the match Kyiv played with the fifth field. Opponents defended tightly, but in the 38th minute our team did score - Ponochevny scored from Sheremety's pass. In the end, the Ukrainians played with the current champion in a draw — 2:2, but took third place in the group and ended their performance in the tournament.
