Women's Champions League. Thanks to the players of the national team of Ukraine, Zhytlobud-2 defeated Alashkert at the STC named after V. Bannikov and reached the second round

In the match of the starting round of the Champions League among women of the 2020/2021 season Kharkiv "Zhytlobud-2" confidently beat Armenianй Alashkert.

According to by the draw the first qualifying round champion of Ukraine and winner of the Cup of Ukraine Zhitlobud-2 held a one-match duel at home. The match without spectators took place at the Kyiv STC named after V. Bannikov.

Natalia Zinchenko's wards took the lead in the 6th minute - Filenko hit the plane from the rebound after a corner, and Andreasyan released the ball behind the goal line. The Ukrainians continued to have a game advantage, repeatedly hitting the goal. In one of the episodes, Kalinin hit the crossbar.

At the end of the first half, Zhytlobud-2 tripled its advantage. First, Kalinin converted a penalty earned by Trill, and then Malakhova moved from the left corner of someone else's penalty area and threw the goalkeeper with a great shot.

Immediately after the break, Kalinin made a double, closing the transfer of Malakhova after a successful team pressure. Soon Titova realized a penalty awarded for a foul against Pantsulai. In the 56th minute, the Armenians sent the sixth goal to Andrukhiv, taking advantage of a wonderful pass from Pantsulai.

And at the end of the meeting Pantsulaya scored a hat-trick. At first, Natia took advantage of a mistake by rivals, and later closed two passes from the right flank. As a result, Kharkiv sent nine goals to the rivals' goal, eight of which were scored players of the national team of Ukraine, and passed to the next stage. The opponent of the Ukrainians will be determined on November 6.

Scheme of the Women's Champions League 2020/2021

A total of 62 teams from 50 associations will take part in the current Women's Champions League draw. There were mini-tournaments in the previous round replaced by two rounds of the playoffs, where all confrontations will consist of one match. 40 clubs will play in the first qualifying round, 20 in the second.

Current winner of the trophy - Olympique Lyonnais, two leading clubs from 10 national associations with the highest rankings (they include Lyon), as well as champions of the 11th and 12th associations (Norway and Kazakhstan) according to selection scheme received an automatic pass to the 1/16 finals

Another 40 participants (winners of second places in the championships of Norway and Kazakhstan, as well as champions of other 38 associations) will play in the first qualifying round on November 3-4 and on November 18-19 in the second qualifying round, where the winners of 10 more tickets will be determined. before the playoffs. The winners will join the 22 teams mentioned above.

Two qualifying rounds will be held in the format of a one-match confrontation. From the 1/16 final to the final, which will take place on May 16, 2021 in Gothenburg, Sweden, all confrontations will consist of two matches.
