Oleksandr Kosenko: "The fights with Hungary were interesting and tense"

The head coach of the national futsal team of Ukraine Oleksandr Kosenko summed up the results of friendly matches against the Hungarian team.

From November 5 to 8, the blue-and-yellow team gathered in Uzhhorod, after which they went to Debrecen, Hungary. There, the Ukrainians won two victories over the local team - with a score 2:1 and 4:3. After the return of the national team of Ukraine home, the official website of the UAF talked to its head coach Oleksandr Kosenko.

- We have already returned from Hungary, all the guys are healthy. I am satisfied with the results of the matches.

— Did the Hungarians manage to make a decent competition?

- Yes, they did. In Hungary, a good team, useful games came out. Opponents opposed us well, victories were achieved with a difference of only one ball. This indicates that the fights were tense and interesting.

— In both matches, four field players of Prodexim came out in the starting lineup. Is this the backbone of the team at the moment?

- We made such a decision. Of course, these four are now demonstrating a coordinated, spectacular game, bringing results. That's why the guys are the leaders, that's why they play and start. Everything is natural.

- Did you manage to see all the artists during the gathering?

- If possible, everyone was allowed to play. They planned to give players about the same amount of playing time for two sparring matches. In general, it turned out that way. Maybe someone played a little more, someone played a little less. In the end, we got what we planned.

— In your opinion, is the team ready for official matches?

- I think I'm ready. It is clear that we are still thinking about a combination of fours. If nothing happens, the four from "Prodexim" are ready, played. We will think about the other four.

— What are the future plans of the national team of Ukraine?

- So far there is no final information about the December matches in qualification for Euro-2022. But I think the collection will take place anyway.
