WU-19: Ukraine's youth women's national team will start preparing for the matches of League A of the second stage of Euro-2022 qualification in February

This year the youth women's national team of Ukraine WU-19 will take part in the matches of League A of the second stage of the Euro-2022 selection and will try to make it to the final tournament.

According to the UAF Women's Football Committee approved by the UAF Executive Committee and the Unified Calendar of Women's Football Events for 2022, Valery Palamarchuk's wards will start working on winter international matches or a mini-tournament (February 14-23).

"At the beginning of February, the traditional winter championship of Ukraine among elite women's teams will take place, where we will review all the candidates for the national team. And in mid-February it is planned to hold a stage of preparation in Turkey, where we are going to play two or three sparring matches, "- told earlier in the comments for UAF Valery Palamarchuk.

This training camp will be the main preparation for the matches of League A of the second stage of Euro 2022 qualification. According to the draw, the blue and yellows got into the A4 group, where their rivals will be Austria, Norway and Bulgaria. Tournament in our group will kick-off in Austria from April 7 to 13 this year. Following the results of the spring matches, the participants of the final stage, which will be hosted by the Czech Republic from June 27 to July 9, 2022, will be determined.

During the August window (17-23), the youngster will hold a joint meeting with the WU-17 girls' team in preparation for the selection for the 2023 European Championship (WU-19), which will take place in the fall (September 28 - October 12).

Euro 2022 (WU-19). Second round. League A

Group A1: Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Croatia.

Group A2: Germany, Finland, Russia, Belarus.

Group A3: England, Belgium, Iceland, Wales.

Group A4: Austria, Norway, Ukraine, Bulgaria.

Group A5: Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Group A6: Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania.

Group A7: France, Czech Republic, Ireland, Greece.

Seven winners of League A groups (or six group winners and the best second place finisher if the Czech Republic finishes first in the group) will join the Czech Republic in the final stage of the spring matches, which will take place from June 27 to July 9, 2022. There will also be a transition between the leagues, which will be relevant for the first round of the European Championship-2022/2023. The last teams of League A groups will lose their elite residence permit. 

Euro 2022 (WU-19). Second round. League B

Group B1: Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands, Malta.

Group B2: Slovenia, Northern Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Moldova.

Group B3: Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania, Latvia.

Group B4: Scotland, Kosovo, Estonia, Kazakhstan.

Group B5: Slovakia, Georgia, Andorra, Armenia.

Group B6: Turkey, Albania, Israel, Cyprus.

Teams in League B, including those who have dropped out of League A, will compete for tickets to League A in the first round of the next draw.
