WU-19: the youth women's national team of Ukraine completed the performance in the second round of Euro-2024 selection
Today, on April 9, in Chomutov, Czech Republic, the youth women's national team of Ukraine WU-19 finished their performance in the second round of Euro-2024 selection in League A with a match against Norway.
Before that, Natalia Ignatovych's wards played two matches in group A4 — and both were unsuccessful. In the first, they were defeated by the French women (0:2), and in the second - from the Czechs (0:1). Today, in Khomutov, the blue-yellow team played their final match at this stage of the competition — against Norway.
And this time our girls also failed to succeed. A hat-trick by Ida Natvik and goals by Emma Reshane and Camilla Melhor brought victory to the Norwegian national team — 5:0. Thus, the national team of Ukraine WU-19 did not score a single point and took fourth place in group A4, relegating to League B in the Euro-2025 cycle. And France won the ticket to the final tournament of Euro-2024 among the WU-19 teams from our quartet.
