Ruslan Rotan: I visited matches of 12 Ukrainian teams in Turkey

The head coach of Ukraine U-10 team Ruslan Rotan spent XNUMX days in Turkey, where he watched the preparation of his players for the second part of the season. Immediately after returning home, he answered questions from the UAF press service.

- Were you satisfied with your stay in Antalya?

- In general, I was. Although, of course, our expectations are always high. Given the current situation with roster in the youth team, I wanted to see some new names.

- What positions are bothering you now?

- Most of them are attacking players. Some are injured, some do not have playing practice. Until the qualifying tournament there is still time and we hope that the situation improves.

However, we managed to catch a glimpse of new guys. Someone for the future, and someone may appear in the team soon. It is good that there were enough young players at this training camp. We counted more than 100 players. It is gratifying that our clubs pay so much attention to our clubs. Now it all depends on the players.

- In the fall, your squad has noticeably stabilized. Will you stick to this line-up?

- I think so. I looked at all the players who make up the backbone of the team and was pleased with what I saw. But we always need to improve and create competition. I can't say that we will have as many new names as last year, when there was a change of generations in the team, but some reinforcement will appear for sure.

- Did you manage to communicate with football players and club coaches?

- Of course. In total, I had to attend matches with the participation of 12 Ukrainian clubs during these days. A lot of information has been collected, and we will quickly analyze it.

By the way, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Dynamo youth team with the victory over Deportivo. Undoubtedly, this is a great success. I want to wish the guys to continue to win, developing their game. Of course, this is the future of the country's youth and national teams.

It will be recalled that the Euro 2023 (U-21) qualifying for Ruslan Rotan's team will continue in March this year, with an away match against Armenia (24th) and a home game against France (29th).
