The women's futsal team of Ukraine is preparing to participate in the European qualification of the debut draw of the Women's World Championship.
Our girls' first training session of 2024 started on March 12, so the blue and yellow had a few days to prepare. Oleg Shaitanov called for a team of 15 players. The women's national team of Ukraine arrived in Taranto for two sparring matches with the Italian women.

Women's Futsal World Cup 2025. European qualification. Format
26 teams compete for four tickets to the World Championship in the main and elite rounds.
Participants: England, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gibraltar, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Northern Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden.
Spain and Portugal received direct tickets to the elite round. If the European team gets the right to host the World Cup, it will become the owner of a direct ticket to the final stage.
Main round (draw and match dates to be determined later)
24 teams will be divided into six quartets. The group winners and, if necessary, the best team among the runners-up will advance to the elite round.
Elite Round (draw and match dates to be determined later)
Eight teams, including Spain and Portugal, will be divided into two quartets. The two best teams from each group will advance to the finals.
The first women's futsal world championship will kick-off in 2025. 16 teams will take part in the tournament. Quotas for participation in the World Cup are distributed as follows: Europe — 4, South America — 3, Asia — 3, Africa — 2, CONCACAF — 2, Oceania — 1. Another place will go to the host country.
Following the introduction of the Women's Futsal World Cup, UEFA will expand the Women's Futsal Euro to eight teams. The tournament will be held every four years, and the next one will be held in 2027.
Recall that all three European Women's Futsal Championships held so far — in 2019, 2022 (postponed from 2021) and 2023 — were won by Spain. The national team of Ukraine took the fourth, third and second places, respectively, at these forums.
