2019 World Cup: Ukrainian women's national team on the field worthy conceded to the vice-champions of Europe

The national women's national team of Ukraine held its next match in the qualifying tournament for the 2019 World Cup. This time the Ukrainians in the city of Viborg met with a powerful Danish team.

With the starting whistle, the mistresses expectedly seized the initiative and began to shake up the Ukrainian women's defense systematically. The blue-and-yellow captain of the dances, Pernille Harder, was particularly peculiar. However, the first 45 minutes of the game, the visitors played a solid defense, allowing only once, in the final part of the half, to distract their goalkeeper Catherine Samson. Sane Troelsgor gave the elegant pass a good bye, but the keeper pulled a difficult shot. 

Volodymyr Reva's wards also did not stay in defense and counterattacked dangerously at the first opportunity. Tetyana Kozyrenko had a good moment, but her shot from the penalty area was blocked. 

In the second half increased fierce struggle, the Dunks tried to sharpen the game with flank passes. In the 55th minute, the blue-and-yellows got the right to a corner, which was almost scored by Kozyrenko and Apanashchenko - their shots were blocked almost on the goal line.

The home side looked dangerous after 63 minutes, and 66 minutes into the match, and Troelsgor was in the spotlight again.

The pressure of the Danish national team on Samson's goal was constantly growing. In the 70th minute, the Ukrainian goalkeeper pulled the ball out of the ninth in a staggering jump. In general, the period from the 70th to the 80th minute was very difficult for the Ukrainians, and in the 78th minute the Danes still embodied their advantage in the goal. The Ukrainians did not keep Sane Troelshor in the penalty area, and she hit her head exactly in the corner.

The hosts could have doubled the score in the 86th minute, but Samson managed to beat Holmgor after a commotion in the penalty area. The score remained unchanged - a minimal defeat of the guests from the finalists of the last Euro.
