Artem Shulyanskiy: “The main key to success in the matches with the Danish team was the team”

Dynamo midfielder Artem Shulyansky is looking forward to the official matches of the youth national team of Ukraine.

On December 6, the youth national team of Ukraine (players not older than 2001) will meet their rivals in the qualifying round of Euro 2020 (U-19). Meanwhile, the players are busy in their clubs. In particular, on November 27 Dynamo Kyiv U-19 in the return match of the second round of the UEFA Youth League champions won at the Belgian "Anderlecht" with a score of 2: 1 (the first match - 1: 1) and made its way to the next stage of the competition. One of the creators of this victory was the midfielder of Kyiv and the national team of Ukraine U-18 Artem Shulyansky.

- Artem, the match against Anderlecht took a lot of energy?

- Of course. The Belgians also wanted to win this confrontation, but due to coordinated actions in defense and a quality transition from defense to attack, we still achieved our goal.

- Is there a specific task for Dynamo in this tournament?

- We want to go as far as possible and test our strength against the background of European top clubs.

- Who would you like to play in the next stage of the tournament?

- With French "PSG" or English "Tottenham". But I would not give up less strong opponents (smiles).

- The draw for the next round of these competitions will take place on December 17. And on the 6th the youth national team of Ukraine will get to know its opponents from the Euro 2020 qualifying round. Do you have any wishes here?

- If I'm not mistaken, the national team of Ukraine will be sown from the first basket, so it doesn't matter much. We will try to beat whoever falls. Although, of course, in the second basket a lot of reputable teams, which will be difficult. These are Sweden, Serbia, Belgium, Poland, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark ...

- By the way, the U-18 national team of Ukraine recently met with the Danes twice beat...

- Four days of training were enough for us to remember everything we worked out before. Especially since many guys play together in their clubs, so there were no problems. I think our teamwork is at a good level. This was the main guarantee of success in matches with the Danish team.

Therefore, we will look forward to the next training camp and will prepare for the official matches. We really want to perform with dignity.
