Women's Futsal Euro 2019 Launches: A Historic Moment for Ukraine's National Team

At 23.45 Oleg Shaitanov's wards will start a semi-final match against the hosts of the championship from Portugal. We are waiting for a historic moment for the Ukrainian women's national football team.

In the Portuguese city of Gondomar near Porto, the debut European Women's Futsal Championship begins. The tournament matches will be held on February 15 and 17. On Wednesday, the 13th, the national team of Ukraine arrived in Portugal and has already had an official photo session and several training sessions.

"For week at the meeting we went to bed around the second night. Departure from the hotel was at three, so the night before departure we did not sleep. The flight itself was a change, so on the first day everyone looked tired. However, the conditions here are excellent, it can't be otherwise, because we are at the European Championship.

We managed to conduct several trainings. The floor is very fast, so we asked the organizers for additional hour-long training to adjust to the flooring. We also have evening trainings planned, and in the morning we will come to the sports palace to do a workout.

Girls should be a single team. If every futsal player on the field thinks not only about herself but also about her partner, everything will be fine! ” - said in interview with the press service of the Futsal Association of Ukraine the head coach of our national team Oleg Shaitanov.

Recall that the final part of the Euro four teams broke throughwho won in their selected groups. In the semifinals on February 15 Ukrainian will meet with Portugal (the match will start at 23.45 pm Kyiv time, live broadcast on Xsport TV channel), and Spain and Russia will meet in the second match of this stage.
